Did You Know… that Friendship Day is an annual event?
Friendship Day celebrations take place on the first Sunday of August every year. The tradition of dedicating a day in honor of friends began in the United States in 1935. Little by little this day gained popularity and today Friendship Day is celebrated in large number of countries. On this day people spend time with their friends and express love for them. Friends even began to give each other on this day gifts like cards, flowers, a special phone call, and yes, even friendship jewelry like a ring, pin or just a simple wrist band.
